Geography
Our Geography curriculum is based on the National Curriculum (link below) and supported using the Kapow scheme of work. We ensure that there is progression in the knowledge children are learning by carefully sequencing our topics and core texts, so that children build on existing knowledge and revisit areas of learning.
At Jenyns, we aim for all pupils to became confident and inquisitive geographers. Geography is a brilliant way of developing children’s natural fascination for the world around them. We want to inspire pupils’ curiosity, and fascination about the world and its people, that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Our Geography curriculum develops skills and knowledge, through a hands-on learning approach which develops life-long skills. We understand the great value of fieldwork to inspire and motivate children which our children can access through our outdoor learning approach and making regular use of our local area.
